Career Coaching & Goal Setting

Career Coaching for the Entry-Level and Mid-Level Career Professional

Do you need more one-on-one professional career coaching? Need to review your professional goals and how you can better utilize your strengths to reach your desired outcomes? If you are like me, you may have worked in your career for more than a dozen years and excelling – but still not sure why you’re not reaching the goals you had intended to reach by this point in your career.  Many people need to take a step back, look at their goals and resources more critically, and figure out a new approach to reaching the so-called brass ring.

I have worked with entry-level and mid-level career professionals for nearly ten years, helping them reconsider their strengths and ways to learn new skills. After reviewing your resume and cover letter, I will give pointers on how to better answer questions during in-person interviews. I am committed to helping you discover ways to be more successful in your career!

How it works

I offer a free initial consultation to anyone interested in speaking with me. After the initial consultation we can work with your schedule to setup a standing time to meet on a regular basis. I meet clients over Skype/Zoom or the phone and in-person in Brookline, MA.

My Approach

STEP 1

First, we’ll take some time to help you clarify what you want out of your life and if career coaching can help you. We will take an assessment of how you are doing in different domains of your life. We’ll use our findings to select key focus areas of your life. This is a very exciting experience that produces new insights and expanded options to guide our work together.

My coaching model is based on three steps:

  • Step 1: Know where you are
  • Step 2: Know where/what you want to be
  • Step 3: Take actions towards your goal

We will revisit each of these steps during all of our meetings.

STEP 2

With the domain findings, we are going to use these focus areas to develop clear goals. We’ll take a strengths-based survey to explore how you can best use your unique character strengths and resources to get to where you want to go. For instance, we may discover unique strengths, unrealized resources, and a greater appreciation of all that you have available to help you on your career journey. Your focus areas, goals, and strengths will help us build a road map and vision of what your ideal life would be.

STEP 3

First, we create a game plan together.

Second, we craft a plan using your goals and road map to be accountable for making lasting life change.  We’ll lay out a set of coaching sessions grounded in positive psychology principles to drive our coaching work together.

Finally, during our coaching sessions, we address any practical or personal issues standing in your way to achieving a more balanced, meaningful and happy life.

How we connect:

For in-person clients: I typically meet with clients for our initial consultation at Caffe Nero in Brookline, MA near the Brookline Village T Station. There is meter parking along the street and nearby for those who drive. After that, following our initial consultation, we can choose to either continue to meet for coffee at Caffe Nero or at my home office located in Brookline Hills.

For virtual clients: We can connect by phone, Skype, or Zoom. You let me know what’s best for you!

Frequency + timeline:

To facilitate real, lasting positive change, I recommend that we meet on a weekly basis starting out.

Depending on your needs and the changes you are currently looking to make in your life,  our coaching relationship could continue anywhere from a minimum of five sessions to an entire year of continued work. To see-through tangible change realistically, it takes about 3 to 5 months.

The Management Plan Coaching Package

Everyone doesn’t need a three-month commitment to work on their personal goals. I am offering a THREE-SESSION coaching package through the end of August 2020.

The three sessions will focus on the concepts related to the Management Plan and help identify:

  • Skills you want to learn, refine or teach
  • Barriers or obstacles you need to work around in order to achieve your goals
  • Your resources and assets to achieve your goals in your timeline

People who sign-up will receive the Management Plan template, worth $25, as well as online personality inventories to learn your preferred style working with others and dealing with conflict.

If you want or require additional coaching sessions, they will be billed as scheduled for the regular rate of $85/session.

Three-Session Coaching Package

Sign Up for a three-time coaching session to discuss and implement The Management Plan. During the session, you will receive a FREE copy of the Management Plan template (worth $25). Meetings can take place in-person or online and will last (mininally) 30 minutes for each session.
